May 05, 2006disable nodes with perl and icontrol 9.x
Greetings -
I've been tasked with writing a script which enables and disables new sessions on a given pool member. The pool contains 2 members. The idea being that one side is disabled, and users bleed off to the other side. Once it's inactive, updates can be made to the disabled pool member without application downtime. Once complete, the traffic is moved to the other side, and the process is repeated.
My question is - is there an example script or something out there which disables pool members? No need to reinvent the wheel if there is. It looked as if LocalLBNode.pl for 4.6.3 is close, but didn't see anything offhand browsing through the 9.x example scripts.
If there isn't, I did see some c++ examples in other posts. Could someone point me in the right direction with perl?
Thanks so much for your time.
- Check out the iControl Downloads page for a starter. You can also search the iControl v9.x forum for "PoolMember". You should find a couple of threads with sample code that I've posted. Here's one of them:
