    Techgeeg,

This allocates resources to the management port. I think the default is small and this should be ok for most implementations. If you find you have 1000s of objects and the GUI starts to get slow then you may benefit by changing this to medium or large.

Whilst I don't think I've seen anything on askf5 the context help menu does have the following:

Options include Small, Medium, and Large. Use Large for configurations containing more than 2000 objects, or more specifically, for any configuration that exceeds 1000 objects per 2 GB of installed memory. Changing the Management (MGMT) size after initial provisioning causes a reprovision operation.

    Hope this helps,

    N

  • I seriously feel that now F5 should have a first page dash board that shows a quick/important details related to F5 box. like

    1. Serial no.
    2. Model
    3. uptime , last login user+time
    4. provisioned modules and their provision level (Minimum, Nominal, Dedicated)

    5. HD space available and used

    6. Memory Available and used
    7. Box Licensed date, last service check date and support expire date
    8. NTP server status if configured.
    9. SMTP Server status if configured
    10. Total no. Of VS, Pools, Nodes (Total no. of objects)
    11. Total no. of irules in use
    12. If the unit has multiple internet links than bandwidth utilization of the two or multiple internet links

thanks for Reply Nathan, I prefer to look more into it and know more if it is just the no. of objects or the totally no. of resources being used by the objects.

    Regards,
