Diameter peer connections down or going down

How can we monitor or log the diameter peer connections?

 

We would like to know when a peer connection is closed by the client and when the peer is going down (could be watch dog failed and exceeded the maximum attempts). The notification can be an alarm OR just a entry in log also should do (which ever is easy).
