device_trust_group in 11.6.0

In 11.6.0... is a sync only device group required?

I created a device group called "DG" that is a sync-failover type. It is an object that is deletable and everything. So normal stuff there. But when I go to overview... I see my "DG" device group (sync-failover) and I see another object called "device_trust_group" which has sync-only configured.

I never configured this item and it looks like a default for whatever reason. The problem is that I cant remove it. Is there a way to remove this without wiping the whole box?
