Destination Persistence Question

Question on Destination Persistence -

 

I have a VIP that uses Destination Persistence along with an iRule that routes traffic to a Pool Group based on Source Address.

 

My overall question is how does the order of operations acts within a VIP with persistence and the iRule as traffic hits that VIP.

 

The iRule that I have configured passes traffic based on Source Address to a specific set of pools.

 

I have an issue with traffic at the moment routing to the correct pools, but I believe the issue is Destination Persistence. I believe what is happening is traffic is bypassing the iRule due to entries within the persistence table.

 

Can this be confirmed?

    I would expect traffic to direct based on source address first then use destination address persistence for rest of the traffic.

    What does your iRule look like?

    You may already have checked your persistence table, but here is the command to check

    show ltm persistence persist-records all-properties
