Defining active/passive members
I'm looking at LB_FAILED and the other LB global commands, but I cannot suss out how to define what I need. This is one of my first cracks at iRules, and I need some guidance.
Thank you!

Thanks Aaron! I managed to come to the same conclusion after further reading/research, but I appreciate the response. Hopefully it will help other newbies like me. - Shanmu123_27642

Still you can run that if the routing does not have any issue.

Hi, can we achieve same host availability across Data center. For Example, I have a host configured in DC1, same hostname with the different IP address in DC2. Can i set F5 LTM such a way, when host on DC2 should come up only when the host on DC1 is down. ( Note: there are other members also in the LTM pool)

Yes, You can achieve it with priority group activation where you can add pool members DC 1 with higher priority and DC 2 with lower Priority.

Ok, thanks for the reply, actually its not for all the pool members in the pool. Only one pool member which is Primary VM needs to be configured for Active / Passive setup.
