Default pool

Hi!

 

We are running the latest version of the Exchange iApp.

 

Our http and https virtual servers doesn't have any default pool selected, all the others, rpc,mapi have a default pool specified. Is this by design or should we change the virtual server so that a default pool is configured? We are using the same address for all our services.

    hi Prohead, this is by design. Since all the HTTP traffic is coming to one VIP, the combined persistence iRule makes a pool selection based on the HTTP path of the request. With RPC/MAPI, we use separate virtual servers (at the same IP address but different port) so we can simply assign a default pool for those VIPs.
