Dedicated bandwith from one subnet to other.

Hi!

I have 4 LC Which are directly connected to each other Through Wireless links (2 LC in site1 and 2 LC in site2). I have two wireless link of 2MB each.(you can say all in LAN, no Public IP). I want to dedicate 1MB for 2 subnets to communicate between them. Shall i used rate shapping or iRule. If yes, how can i do?

Thanks in Advance.
  • It sounds like all you'll need to do here is setup a rate policy (info on this can be found on ask.f5.com) or two and apply it to the virtual servers involved - depending upon how granular you want to get it's very possible that you won't need to use iRules here at all. The Link Controller manuals have information on how this is setup and managed.

  • Thanks for the response,

Actually we are ussing vs with 0.0.0.0 and the default gateway pool are links and LB method round robin, same from the other end. now we have some subnets to communicate on perticular bandwith lets say 1Mb. ex: If subnet A and B on site1 what to send the data (any type) to subnet c and d on site2 they should have 1MB o dedicated bandwidth. and one more question How i can fix the BW for voice traffic?

    Thanks in Advance.
