crc32 output

Hi,

 

 

I'm playing with crc32 hashing and I'm trying to determine why the output of the function is giving me negative numbers. Its my understanding that crc32 should do this.

 

 

Also, I've noticed that the hash's generated by crc32 don't match any of the ones generated by other hashing calculators that I have checked. Is the answer encoded in some way? Can in be decoded?
