Could not connect to SMTP host.

Getting the below error when i tried to query our SMTP server from the GUI SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. Same could connect when i tried it from the Cli

Can you test sending an actual report instead of clicking 'Test connection', there is a known bug with this button: Bug ID 868801 (f5.com)

If it is not related to this bug, then can you share an output of the following command while testing from the GUI (x.x.x.x being the mail server):

tcpdump -nni 0.0 host x.x.x.x and port 25

If there is no output, then use:

tcpdump -nni eth0 host x.x.x.x and port 25
