Copy file from one boot location to another?

Hi all,

 

I need to copy a file from one boot location to another, can anyone advise? I've looked up on this but it seems the only option is to copy the configuration, and not files within the device itself.

 

(For example, copying a text file from HD1.1 to HD1.2) ?

    copy itto the /shared volume. This volume is mounted for any boot location. Then you can copy it to the target boot location after booting on it.
