Connecting 4 GTM's in 2 Data Centers
Hi All i have some questions about to configure 4 GTM’s in 2 data centers
Site A
2 x LTM (HA)
External 10.100.10.0 /24
Internal 192.168.1.0 /24
2 x GTM (HA)
External 10.100.10.0 /24
Site B
2 x LTM (HA)
External 10.200.10.0 /24
Internal 192.168.2.0 /24
2 x GTM (HA)
External 10.200.10.0 /24
Name: application.example.com
vs_SiteA 10.100.10.50
vs_SiteB 10.200.10.50
Actually all devices can see each other, i want to resolve one name, in each LTM pair the vs server is configured so it has to be alive in both data centers.
I create in each GTM Pair it respective datacenter with the LTM, so now i can see the LTM virtual servers trough GTM.
- What is the better way to interconnect this 4 GTM’s, its needed to put them in only one sync group???
- And what is the better way to configure that segments??? its only 1 floating ip to all GTM’s
- And how is the traffic delegated by the DNS servers?

Hi Jesus,
Q1: What is the better way to interconnect this 4 GTM's, its needed to put them in only one sync group?? A1: There is documentation on syncing them up so they share configuration changes http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_gtm/manuals/product/gtm-implementations-11-4-0/3.htmlconceptid
Q2: And what is the better way to configure that segments??? its only 1 floating ip to all GTM’s. A2: You should need one floating in each location.
Q3:And how is the traffic delegated by the DNS servers? A3:This part is entirely up to you. The GTM can be configured to resolve to 2 different IP address via Load balancing Type: Geographical, Primary/Standby, Round Robin and Available through a health check - similiar to LTM health check.
I hope this helps

Thx @The Bhattman but if i will delegate traffic from DNS i will have to send the traffic to that 2 floating ips?
