Configuring HA on Viprion 2400

Hi,

 

We have two blades(B2100) on a viprion 2400 chasis. we are having a single managament IP(Chassis IP) to manage two blades. How do we configure the HA between two blades. I am trying to add device in second slot to device trust peer. What is the IP to use to add blade in slot2 to HA pair?

    you should configure - a cluster IP (reaching it will direct you to the master slot) - a management IP per slot (with its management interface connected to the network)

     

    This because if you loose one slot, you won't be able to reach the management at all, if you only connect one blade. Additionally, by booting the chassis you do not always know which slot will be the master.

     

    You do not need to configure HA between blades but connect and configure the data network to both of them (LACP recommended). sol15222: Use link-aggregated trunks for multi-bladed VIPRION systems

     

    Do you use vCMP? If it's the case, you should know that intra-chassis guests must not be in clusters ("intra-chassis guests clusters"). This is not supported by F5.
