Configuring HA on VIPRION 2400 with two blades
Hi,
we are having a viprion chassis with two blades(2150). please suggest me in setting up a HA pair between two blades. some of my questions are before setting up a HA pair
- Is it necessary to configure to two different VLAN groups on two blades from HA?
- Is it necessary that we configure two mgmt IP's to two cluster members for configuring HA ?
- Is it possible to handle two blades using one management IP?
Thanks,
Sekhar

Is it necessary to configure to two different VLAN groups on two blades from HA?
chassis operates as one device. configuration is applied to all the blades.
Is it necessary that we configure two mgmt IP's to two cluster members for configuring HA ?

it is what cluster ip is used for.

Hi Nitass, Thank you for replying back. My question is what is the advantage of having cluster IP and cluster member IP address? Is it possible to break cluster and configure two blades as two individual standalone devices? Thanks, Sekhar

cluster member ip is like non-floating selfip. cluster ip is floating selfip (it is always on primary blade).
Is it possible to break cluster and configure two blades as two individual standalone devices?
no

HI Nitass, We are looking for a failover scenario between two blades on a single chassis. Is it ok if we connect just on HA vlan interface between two blades for successful failover between blades? Please suggest the best practice Thanks, Sekhae

i understand blade mirroring does not use ha vlan. you may check document about cluster network mirroring.
