Configuring Dynamic Webtops in APM

Howdy,

 

My organisation is looking into the possibility of using Webtops to provide a portal for external users. However each user will have a different set of 'applications' which they will have access to.

 

Looking at the APM v11 release notes, dynamic creation of Webtops is possible, but my guys here can't seem to figure out how to do it and I haven't been able to locate any walkthroughs or guides. Plenty of documents on static webtops, such as this one which kind of points towards a 'Part 2' that would satisfy our interests but... there is no Part 2.

    I'm not sure of any guides to point you at, but if I understand your requirement correctly, it is fairly simple to achieve.

     

     

    In the resource assignment for the webtop in the Visual Policy, if you add the applications separately based on a group, you can use the expressions to add an AD/LDAP/Group lookup and only show that particular resource to the the group.
