config sync

If a pool member status is changed i.e. up/down or session enable/disable on an active LB, do I need to do "config sync all" or is there any subset of config which can used with "config sync" so that standby LB will be in sync?

  • if pool member is marked down by health monitor, i do not think you need to do config-sync. health monitor is performed independently of each unit.

anyway, if you manually disable pool member, i understand you have to do config-sync.
  • So if I manually disable a pool member, do I've to do config sync all everytime?
  • Ok. "b config sync all" takes lot of time on a busy F5 sigh... I was hoping a subset of config sync could have helped.

    Thanks

  • I was hoping a subset of config sync could have helped.i do not think it is possible in v10.
  • Also in Ver11 its the same its not possible to pick up your desired part for sync it simply sync all....
  • Automatic ConfigSync is now available (for Sync-Only traffic groups unfortunately) in v11.2.1 and is apparently 'incremental'. This suggests it might be a feature for Sync-Failover Device Groups in future.
