Config reverting to an old version when upgrade from 11.1 to 11.2
Hi
A week or so ago I downloaded the 11.2 upgrade and 11.2 HF1 and prepared a partition ready for upgrade (I performed the pre-requisite license re-activation before installing the partition so that when I was ready to activate it, the version would load).
Yesterday, we performed the actual reboots into the 11.2 partition across our 4 LTM 1600's starting with the passive nodes. Everything was running 11.1 before the reboots.
The passive nodes came up ok, so we proceeded to failover, reboot the new passives into 11.2 and then failed back once more along with a final config sync to make sure everything was ok.
Everything looked like it was working until we noticed that config changes that we had made between installing the partition with 11.2 and the point of activation were no longer in the config.
As we have change logging is was fairly straight forward to remake the changes that had got lost, and everything is now working ok, but I would like to know if this behaviour is normal, and if there is something that I could have done to ensure that the 11.2 partitions booted with the very latest config.
Thanks
Perry
- Nick_T_68319NimbostratusI usually make a ucs archive before an upgrade
- HamishCirrocumulusOk. You still have 11.1 on the old boot slot. So just mount the filesystem for the other slots root and grab the comfig files.
