Cirrostratuscitrix APM+LTM deployment
The (latest) deployment guide scenarios are LTM, LTM+LTM or APM. Would APM+LTM work? I would like to have APM webtop publishing and do the loadbalancing (XML+ICA servers) on the LTM (separate) devices, which is closer to the citrix farm. Possible? Thanks!

There is an option in Citrix_vdi.v1.1.0 iApp for configuring a 2 BIG-IP deployment. You will need to be in advanced configuration mode to see the options you need for this setup. In the General section of the iApp, select "Advanced - Configure advanced options" for question "Which configuration mode do you want to use?".
On your LTM select "No, do not proxy....." for question "Use APM or Edge gateway...." and on your APM select "Yes, proxy ICA traffic and authenticate.....".
Note the questions regarding where traffic will be sent appear: (APM)"Should this BIG-IP system load balance Citrix traffic or send it to another BIG-IP system?" and (LTM) Is traffic coming directly from clients or from a BIG-IP system running APM or Edge Gateway?
