Citrix Alternate Addresses
We are in the process of migration our Citrix environment to another datacenter and doing an upgrade. In the previous version, it was possible to enter 'alternate addresses' (altaddr) for clients that e.g. connect to Citrix via NAT addresses. In the new version 'alternate addresses' are not possible anymore. The initial idea was to only loadbalance StoreFront with the F5 LTMs we have and distribute ICA traffic over the Citrix servers. If we need to have a solution for NAT 'alternate addresses', does that mean we need to route ICA traffic through the F5 as well? And if that's the case, we have only licensed our F5s for LTM, not APM. Does routing ICA traffic through the F5 require an APM license?
