Changing Client TCP Profile

I'm using iControl 10.2 with Perl, looking for a way to alter the client TCP profile but I cannot seem to find the right approach. I can use remove_profile and add_profile with something like an HTTP profile, because None is a valid value. However it's not a valid value for a TCP virtual server. When I execute the remove_profile method, the VS is left with the default tcp profile applied. Then when I turn around and attempt to apply a different tcp profile with add_profile, I get an error stating that there is already a profile applied which there is - the default tcp profile. Can someone advise me on what is the right approach to changing the client TCP profile?
