cannot get fullscreen to Windows 2012 R2 on APM webtop
Hi,
I have configured a portal with some links to internal apps and rdp.
I've got some issues I don't know how to fix.
The problem with Remote Desktop to Windows 2012 R2 server.
I set a full screen option but when I click a link on a webtop the window always appears to have a fixed size although real screen resolution is higher.
So the IE window has vertical and horizontal sliders.
I checked with Windows 2003 server and full screen option works.
Where should I check to get that thing working? I can share any configuration and screenshots if needed.

Try disabling "NLA Only setting" on the server.

Thanks kunjan, NLA setting could be a reason. I'll check it next week.
Did you get it from f5's documentation or somewhere else?

I also guess that using App Tunnel would solve all RDP related issues without need of changing server level RDP security settings.
I tried to configure it but had no luck with the first try.
If there are any step by step guide with real world example how to use app tunnels, share the link please.

The other option to try could be to make desktop size 100%.

Setting screen size to 100% makes the window to be maximized but still not fully screened.

Got it working with the App Tunnel launching local mstsc.exe. (Comparing to Cisco smart-tunnels it wasn't so trivial to configure).
NLA option is enabled on this server. I didn't try to disable it at the moment.
Is it known issue or necessary requirement for APM to run in a full screen?
I didn't find any references in documentation about this.
Was there ever any clarification on what the root issue is here? Is in fact disabling "NLA only" the correct fix, if you don't want to configure an app tunnel?
And Zup, could you post your step-by-step for how you configured an app tunnel as a workaround (or point to the guidance you used)?
thx! I'm going to post my (similar) situation separately, but thought this discussion could be relevant to my issue as well.

Hi daboochmeister,
I've got too much issues that still being unresolved with RDP publication on a webtop.
While investigating I've found that installing ActiveX components in IE11 with Administrative privileges makes this thing working for IE in unprivileged mode.
As soon as Chrome and Firefox no longer supports NPAPI I developed a policy that detects User-Agent and places Java RDP on a webtop because there is no alternative to these browsers from f5.
Java RDP never worked in a full screen mode for me. I use 100% instead.
In rare situations SSO doesn't work with Java RDP and I don't know how to debug it.
In other cases with ActiveX RDP sometimes users can see remote login screen but session disconnects when trying to draw the desktop.
So my environment is still not ready for production.
I've got AppTunnel working with local mstsc.exe but it appeared unacceptable solution for our environment.
