16 years agoCannot associate VS when creating WideIP
hi guys,
has anyone of you experienced when creating a wideip, you cannot select any Virtual Server? It only says select on the drop down menu.
Im creating an inbound load balancing using my LC 9.4.8
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

I haven't experienced that. With 10.0 though, I've had issues where a newly created VIP wasn't listed in the drop-down menu...I just exited and re-entered the wide ip creation area and it was fine. - Chris_Miller

Donskie - If you go into wide-ips and don't see it...go back to VSes under LTM and then come back and click on wide-ips again...Like I said, it just took me clicking out of it to get it to appear...it's like there's a lag between creating the VS and LC believing it exists.
s iQuery running between all of your GTMs and LTMs? You need to perform some iqdumps between your GTMs and servers to verify communications..
All else fails try manually entering it through the CLI and your wideip.conf... be careful and always backup your config and wideip.conf first...- Rick_James_7743

Hi all,
I am having the same problem but with 10.2.1. I have created two virtual servers with port 443, and then tried to create a wide IP, however when using the drop down box to select a virtual server, the box is empty
I have tried all the above steps and I still cannot bring any of my virtual servers up in the drop down box.
any ideas? - Rick_James_7743

RESOLUTION:
Logged a call and spoke to F5 support in the states (Tim, very helpful). We had to delete the wideip.conf file and reboot the BIG IP. The device then refreshed the wideip.conf file and correctly allowed the virtual servers to be added to the wide ip.
