Can we create 2 different nodes which use same IP
We are hitting a weird issue here server testb is a dns alias for testa which resolves to 172.16.1.1 testa is an existing node which is a member listening to port 9992 in a pool.
The plan is to add testb as a new member in same pool which listens to port 80
So the problem is this. 11.6.0-bigip(tmos)create ltm node testb address 172.16.1.1 0107176c:3: Invalid Node, the IP address 172.16.1.1 already exists.
If we put other questions aside why do you need this and all Could anyone help to confirm does f5 allow creating 2 different nodes which use same IP?. How to achieve this?.Did anyone comeacross such requirement?

Hello,
You can't create 2 different nodes with the same IP. You just need to use the same node to build a new pool member that listen on port 80
