can the persist statement select a persistence profile?
Howdy. Is it accurate to say the persist statement cannot select a persistence profile - rather, it can only select a mode of persistence with a couple of parameters (ex. mask and timeout)?

Is there no way to select a defined persistence profile?
Thanks

That's correct. However, you can set most (or all?) of the properties in an iRule using the persist command that you could in a persistence profile.

Unfortunalely 'persist cookie insert ' always add 'expire=' to the cookie, making it a persistent (i.e. not a session) cookie.
Frank - is this still the case?
there is no alternative to select a persistence profile from an iRule?
