Can I use the TCL "exec" command within an iRule?

I tried to use the "exec" command and received the following message:

 

 

01070151:3: Rule [test-rule-3] error: line 8: [command is disabled: exec] [exec echo hello]

 

 

Is it not supported?

    No, all the IO commands are disabled. Here's the list of disabled commands:
