Can F5 send a command or script to pool member on some condition?

I need to know that can F5 LTM send some command or script to Pool member on some condition? The scenario is that i have 2 pool members One with Priority 1(active) and other with priority 0(passive). Pool members are VM,s and same application is running on both. Now what i want is that when application gets down on active pool member and traffic shifts to passive pool member F5 should send a one line command to passive pool member before sending traffic towards it. What that command will do is that if application was not running on passive pool member it will start the application. I know what command to send but can F5 do it and how?

Thanks

  • Hi, one solution would be to use an icall monitoring ltm log for pool member status down then call a shell script.
