Can F5 Monitor Call a SQL Stored Procedure?
Hello. I would be grateful for any guidance on the following
A Monitor is required for an application that depends on the availability of two SQL Server databases. Now I can define the associated Send string via un-embedded SQL to each of the pool members. An associated Receive string (i.e. SQL Result) will indicate whether a pool member is available or not.
The following alternative suggestion was asked by a developer. It is neater and more robust to database changes; bit I'm not sure if BIG-IP can accommodate this via a monitor.
Is it possible in the "Send" section to Call a SQL Server Stored Procedure? The Stored Procedure would act like a program with the SQL and logic embedded inside. The result of the Stored Procedure would be the "Receive" section.
Much appreciated
Alex
