Can Cross site GTM in different firmware version?

Hi all,

 

Recently we plan to upgrade both GTM from 11.5.1 to 12.1.1, however due to the end user requirement we only can upgrade one GTM and schedule upgrade the rest later.

 

In this case, is it possible for GTM working in different firmware version?

    Officially, NO i.e., if there is any problem, F5 will refuse to help out till you make sure both code versions are the same.

     

    Unofficially, sometimes it may work and sometimes it may not. It depends.

     

    However, based on past experience, you are better off upgrading both or not upgrading both the GTM in the same sync-group. Hope it helps !

    Dear All,

     

    We would like to further clarify our enquiry. We've got one GTM on each site (Site_A & Site_B). We plan to upgrade the only GTM on Site_A first and upgrade the other one maybe 2 weeks later.

     

    We would like to know will there be any service impact while 2 GTM works on different OS version on a different site?
