Cacti VS template not working in v10.0

Hi All

I am hoping i can get some help. I have a number of V9 LTM's using this cacti host template and they are all working fine. I am trying to get some of my version 10.0.1.342. I can add the device and I can get the pool stats etc but it will not show any vs data.

If i do a verbose query on the VS-statistics I get the following.

+ Running data query [23].

+ Found type = '3' [snmp query].

+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/resource/snmp_queries/f5_bigip_vs.xml'

+ XML file parsed ok.

+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.2.10.2.3.1.1'

+ No SNMP data returned

+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/resource/snmp_queries/f5_bigip_vs.xml'

And no data is returned.I have the F5 Bigip - v.10 Global CPU utilization working so I know SNMP works and the Template see correct. Is there perhaps a new template or a fix to it.

Thanks.

  • I have the same templeate as the one you sent. I am going to arrange time to apply Hotfix-BIGIP-10.0.1-378.0-HF3 on monday to see if that changes anything. Since I am only running HF1 and you are testing on HF2 I will try HF3.
  • if you can walk that same table from above from your cacti box, then the problem is not the LTM or the path between your system and the LTM, it's with the configuration on cacti. The template as is works fine on my 10.0 box, so it seems there's something altered or corrupted with the underlying xml file or the graph/data template in cacti for the virtual server. Can you export just the graph and data templates for virtual server and do a directory listing for the snmp_queries folder and list the f5_bigip_vs.xml file and post back?
  • ls -al of snmp_queries

Fixed with a bigstart restart and/or reboot.
