Feb 20, 2008Cacti template for GTM
Here's my first crack at a template for GTM (included in the archive is also the LTM template). Note that you will need to have at least 0.8.7a installed to import the templates.
You'll notice that the global DNS graphs are line based and the wideIP graphs are stacked. There's no reason, I just haven't decided which I like better, so if you want to make them consistent this is done in the graph template.

to get cacti installed, did you have to install anything else on your bigip? or just download install install cacti straight on? - JRahm

I would not recommend installing cacti on your F5 hardware. I installed on a old PC that is running freeBSD. - Deb_Allen_18Historic F5 AccountHere's the original article with the implementation details: Click here

adding templates will not break what you already have. - JRahm

That question would probably be better answered in the Cacti forums. I'm guessing that if your rate is less than 1/second and you don't have a scaling setting set correctly that it averages you out and auto-scale prints the sub-one number. Remember that the rrd values are just stored data, the graphs utilize business rules (CDEF) to represent the delta's for those values. - Omar_68835

I've worked on this hours on end. No result yet. What are your scale settings and what CDEFs are you using for the graphs? - Omar_68835

Here is a sample of two graphs.
