Bring up and shutdown pool member via BIG-IQ

Hi All,

 

I want to ask a question for my customer. They request to use BIG-IQ to bring up or shutdown specific pool member on specific VS on specific BIG-IP that managed by BIG-IQ. Is this can be done by BIG-IQ? Anyone know how to do it? Can it be done via basic GUI or API is required? Thanks all.

    Yes this is certainly possible.

     

    In the GUI (assuming BIG-IQ 5.3 or 5.4) it's in Configuration tab > Local Traffic > Pool Members.

     

    You can enable/disable/force offline in the same way that you can via the BIG-IP directly.

     

    Permissions to do this can be delegated and restricted to specific pool members if needed via the Pool Member Operator user role.
