Forum Discussion
Bring back the old forums!
Hi Mark! Yes, I do really like the new tool. It's an amazing improvement over the forum model we had in place. Previously, we had to drop down into each group to get to a forum to even determine if there were questions in there to address. Now, everything is all together and that makes it way easier. However, there's always room for improvement.
If you (and anyone else reading this post) don't mind providing more detailed feedback on what you do and don't like about Q&A, that will help us as we plan fixes/enhancements going forward.
One thing that is different about the new tool but hasn't yet been fully adopted by the community is the comment/answer expectations. The idea is that you comment on a question until you have enough information to answer, then you answer. Then people comment on answers, which might lead you to edit your answer instead of posting a new answer. Currently, most people use Q&A like a forum, so following a "thread" is somewhat difficult in those situations. We need to do a better job of education on that front.
