    Thanks :). I read this article already, but the thing is that the example does not work for me. However, I found the correct command line (without me having to modify the ssmtp.conf) : 

    echo "Subject: ssmtp test mail" | ssmtp me@mydomain.com

    The syntax is the same for sendmail by the way πŸ™‚
