BIGIP Ports are Access or Trunk
Hi Everyone, I have some small basic queries for BIGIP 1.The ports on BIGIP by default are trunk or access unless we assign them to any particular VLAN? 2.I found that the Mac address on the GUI is different from the one shown in the command line, why is that? is there a way to modify the Mac address? 3.What spanning tree mode does the BIGIP ports run by default? Can i disable spanning tree on the port, how? can i configure the ports to use different spanning tree modes or its not possible?
Regards,

The first time you assign a VLAN to a given interface you define it as 'tagged' (trunk) or 'untagged' (access). Note that F5 uses the term 'trunk' to describe a port-channel using LACP.
Interface MAC should be the same in CLI/GUI, however VLAN MAC addresses will be different, and these can also be changed see here using Mac masquerading see here http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/7000/200/sol7214.html.
Re spanning-tree read this article and the relevant documentation for your version http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/9000/700/sol9796.html.
