BIGIP (LTM/GTM) Automated Backup

Just a quick question guys, is it possible to automate the backup configuration for the BIGIP. I have read a doc on askf5 to manaually backup and restore config's but i dont have time to do that. Ple...

This is what I did to automate my backup. I am sure there are better ways but I was going for quick and simple.

 

 

Shell script

 

 

cd /

 

bigpipe config save /backup_`date +%m_%d_%y`.ucs

 

ftp < autoftp

 

rm -f *.ucs

 

 

my autoftp file that i pass to ftp

 

 

open 10.0.0.1

 

cd /f5/devicename

 

put *.ucs

 

 

For the FTP login I edit the .netrc file.

 

cd /root

 

vi .netrc

 

 

machine 10.0.0.1

 

login user

 

password userpassword
