BigIP DNS Standalone VE
I am unable to find a doc that shows system requirements for the DNS standalone VE. I see docs regarding LTM or "all applications." Is there anything I can use specific to DNS? (vCPU), storage (Gb & Tier(SSD, SAS, SATA)), and memory (vRAM)

When you deploy the OVA (or whatever image type you need) it will show you what resources it requests.

For planning purposes, is there a way to know what that is ahead of time?
i believe the level of throughput effects the max amount of vCPUs you can use. don't think there is a DNS only image either, LTM only is a bit of an exception there. so i would go for the stats of the all modules to be safe.

General guidance regardless of modules...

Start with 2 vCPU/4GB RAM/180 GB disk.
With VE, it's easy to scale it upwards whenever you're short of anything. It's not mandatory to pick the perfect resource provisioning on your first go.
