Big IQ and HA Sync
I've just started using BIG IQ to manage some devices. I have noticed that since my LTMs are HA paired, the pool/members are duplicated under Configuration > Pools, etc. This makes it difficult to know which LTM an operation like force offline, enable, or disable should be performed on since there is no indicator to show which LTM is active and which is standby. As I am going to use this to allow my internal customers the ability to manage their resources in LTMs, I wanted to see what other are doing or what I might not be doing correctly. I know I can have them just select both instances and then "force offline" for example but then the LTMs still would not be synced.. Correct?
I know this was long but just wanted to give as much detail as possible.

I figured out what I did wrong. You have to put them in a cluster group in the BIG IQ GUI when you are adding them. It works really well, except sometimes it takes quite a while to show the correct device status when you enable or force offline.

I configured by developers the ability to use BIG-IQ to take pool members in/out of load when they do maintenance. I am using role based access (RBAC) and configured each user the ability to see only the pool/pool members/nodes they manage. Our ADC's are also part of an HA pair. The ADC's are either a -1 or a -2. In BIG-IQ, they are placed into a cluster group that allows synchronization. Using RBAC, I configured the user to see only see the -1 just so that they are not overwhelmed by seeing all of the members of both ADC pairs in BIG-IQ. Some users control many pools and members. When they take a pool member out of load, the status reflects in BIG-IQ and BIG-IQ automatically synchronizes the HA pair. The only caveat in the BIG-IQ procedure is if a user wants to change the status (enable, disable, or force-offline) of more than one pool member at once, BIG-IQ will synchronize the HA pair after each status change. So for example, if a user wants to disable 5 pool members, expect BIG-IQ to perform 5 HA pair synchronizations. One after each pool member status change. This behavior is not so bad if a user is only changing a couple nodes but if you have many, a delay is expected in the maintenance procedure.

I'm using Sync Auto, so dont care about which device are you working because anyone will replicate the informations to another.
