big-ip edge client exe name

Hi,

We need to open the big ip exe to a certain CRL server via local windows firewall.

I have searched forever but I cannot get a definite name for the file that is the actual exe that we need to open on the local fw.

I got only the name f5fpclientW.exe - but I thinks it's a different name.

I don't have access to the client installation pcomputer, so maybe anybody else can tell me?

This has been driving me crazy - F5 has a ton of info, but this is missing....

    Hello,

The typical executable name for the BIG-IP Edge Client is f5fpc.exe, which is the main file to allow through your local firewall for proper connectivity to the Certificate Revocation List (CRL) server. To configure the Windows Firewall for this purpose, whitelist f5fpc.exe and any other related processes. If you don't have access to the client installation, this information provides a good starting point for setting up the necessary firewall rules.

    To confirm the exact executable:

    • If you can access another machine with the BIG-IP Edge Client installed, navigate to its installation directory, usually under:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\F5 VPN\ or C:\Program Files\F5 Networks\

  • Hi veredgfbll , if you are referring to Big-IP Edge Client executable file, f5fpclientW.exe is indeed an .exe file. The W in that f5fpclientW.exe denotes that it is the Windows version of the  Big-IP Edge Client executable.

This article describes where to locate the .exe file, K000133174: Windows displays different Edge Client version

    Hopefully, this answer your question.

    Cheers, Mo.
