BIG-IP DNS Deployment Public IP's

Hi there, Is there a best practice config for having BIG-IP DNS providing Public IP for service load balanced by LTM. I have two DC's, with LTM/GTM combo in DMZ in each DC, behind firewall. LTM are standalone whilst DNS is sync between DC's. The application has a different public IP for each DC.

 

I create a virtual servers on BIG-IP DNS with the public IP for application. The VS are created under the GSLB, Servers List under the server associated with the DC. A probe icmp health monitor to check Internet availability, should the probe fail it triggers DNS to change. This all works. However every so often the probes fail causing the GTM virtual server to go in both DC's...with big3d timeout message. It recovers by itself after sometime.

 

Just wondering how best to overcome this.
