i have setup 2 vlans external and internal,
assigned ip adresses to them

CirrostratusIs it simply that ICMP echo is not enabled by default on virtual addresses?
Best I think to set up your nodes and pools with monitors, as you'll need them, and see if the F5 is generating the traffic you expect. e.g. get something working above ICMP and ARP level.
