Basic F5 VE Setup
I have a VE (Hyper V) in my lab. Management 192.169.50.2 and I am trying to LTM one server 192.168.50.10. So everything is on the same network but for some reason not able to get to the website. Is there something I am missing? I do have VLANs but not sure I need them cause its on the same network and I do not have a self IP because I am on the same network. Everything is Green except when I go to the webpage 192.168.50.15 I get nothing.
thoughts?

Hi Jason,
If everything is on the same network, you cannot use the mgmt interface. You must use a SELFIP address interface with port lockdown to default (in order to allow 443 and 22) and use this interface for mgmt and traffic.

You'll also need to configure SNAT on the VS.

this is what i get: 01070392:3: Self IP 192.168.50.75 / 255.255.255.0: This IP shares a network with the management IP (192.168.50.71 / 255.255.255.0). When i choose allow custom with 443 and 22
should my management IP be /32?

Hi Jason,
It's strange. Because the bigip does not support this. If you try to configure a SELFIP into the same network as the mgmt IP, there is an error message.
What do you mean by Mgmt ?? The mgmt physical interface (first interface in HyperV)???
Enable SNAT as well on your VS.
