basic configuartion

Hi,

 

Internal servers are 192.168.2.0

 

self Ip 192.168.2.254 virtual ip 192.168.2.200

 

Clients are in 10.0.2.0/24

 

Clients can reach the network 192.168.2.0

 

What is the use of external ip here ?

 

Do we still require to set the static route

    You probably don't need one - you appear to be using using a one-armed configuration.

     

    Do we still require to set the static route

     

    Almost certainly - you will want traffic from your virtual to return to the clients via the gateway that routes between 10.0.2.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24
