Basic Authentication header

If a client sends a request with a Basic Authentication header to a VIP, is it being passed to the servers in the pool by default?

    i believe so.

    As long as you are not explicitly blocking the header with an iRule or in the HTTP profile or don't have an Access Profile attached, the LTM should not touch the header at all.
