Automap VS SNAT

Hi,

 

Can we use Automap instead of SNAT as our connectivity was not working through SNAT they I just put in Automap and it starts working. Is there any issue by using Automap or any drawback.

    Automap uses the BIG-IP self-IP as the source address. This is fine to use, but know that a single IP address can only support 65k active connections. If you need more than that, you'd need to create a SNAT pool.

     

    Can you describe how you had it configured before when it was not working?
