auto-complete not working
Hi all,
I just installed iRule Editor ver 0.9.0.22 and the auto-complete is not working. Are there any known issues with this feature?
Thanks,
Bryan
BTW--I verified that the feature is turned on.
- The Editor uses a configuration file located in the %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\F5 Networks\iRuler directory titled iRuler.xml. This contains all the keywords for autocompletion. First thing I'd do is look and see if this file is there. If not, you can regenerate it in the editor with the "Tools.Reset Config" command. This will save a default config file to that location. If, after you do that, it still isn't present on disk, then odds are you have a permission problem in not allowing the file to be written to disk.
- Bryan_Chick_152NimbostratusThanks, Joe.
- Can you verify one more thing. Is the keyword highlighting/hotspot clicking working?
- Bryan_Chick_152NimbostratusYes, the hyperlinks are available.
- I'm going to have to think about this one as the it's the same code that controls both the hotlinks and the auto-complete. I'll let you know if I can come up with something that isolates the two to test on your system.
- Bryan_Chick_152NimbostratusThanks, Joe,
- The editor hasn't changed much since the first public release. The code with regards to interaction with the editing control hasn't changed at all.
- Bryan_Chick_152NimbostratusI will try it on my home PC to test for similar results.
- If you reset the configuration then it overwrote the contents with the default values so sending me the file won't really help...
