Hi everyone,
I have a LTM/ASM device. I have some webservers that require authentication for users. Currently this ia happening on the servers itself. I want to offload this authentication to F5 with active directory as the authentication store and SSO. I read that I will need PAM module for this. Can I do this without PAM?. In both cases can somebody highlight the procedures.

what TMOS version are you using? and which platform?
in principle i would say use the APM module, it isn't free and will require extra configuration but is the future proof method for adding authentication on the BIG-IP platform.
the PAM module seems to be the authentication profile functionality from the virtual server configuration. i believe it can do some things, but this remains quite limited without buying the PAM addon which isn't for sale anymore i blieve.
