ASM XML/SOAP Response Validation

I have a scenario where I would like to validate the response of a SOAP transaction against a schema. I have created an XML Profile complete with a WSDL and associated schemas. This validates all SOAP requests and correctly detects Schema and other violations. However, the response does not appear to be checked against the schema.

Is it possible, using ASM, to validate the response of a SOAP transaction to ensure it is well-formed XML and does not violate the schema defined in the XML Content Profile?
