ASM Lab setup on Vmware Workstation

Hi Guys,   I am sure some of you must have tried setting up ASM lab at home on Vmware Workstation. I have given hours to it by following the link given below but still I am not able to get it work...

verify that PHP Auctions VM is up&running and it has the correct IP address as per lab set up because by default it will get an IP address from DHCP. Log in to PHPAuctions VM as root/default and use ifconfig command to check the IP address.
