ASM enforcement period

If the policy is in transparent mode the policy will not block any violation. If the "learn" function is active or objects in staging mode the system will create learning suggestions for each violation.

It will still learn traffic as per the Blocking Settings. In here each violation can be set to learn, alarm and block.

Once the enforcement readiness period is over then you lose visibility on whether an item can be enforced or not, i.e. has a violation been triggered on an item. So you might be enforcing items (taking them out of staging) when, in fact, there were violations. Of course you would see this in the Manual Traffic Learning section if learn was enabled for that violation. The enforcement readiness screen makes it all a bit simpler.
