We are using it, useful for simple MAC changes and delegate access. The control center is useful to restore just a single VIP/WIP configuration as opposed to the whole box, there are lot other useful features.

Is there anything in there to allow custom views of things? e.g. if you have 2 separate BigIP's, one front-end, one handling backend stuff... Can it show you the whole path at once with up/down/load status?

It has a Custom dashboard that allows you to create your view and show up/down status and take action on it.

Recently deployed it in a large enterprise, very satisfied with it, full audit trail, centralized software upgrades, access control lists tied down to wip, VIP, pool, pool members, etc. I highly recommend it. I think they're still relatively small, so customizations you need normally make it into their frequent release cycle, and the support has been great.

Cheers... Wonder if I can find someone to pay for a copy :)

yeah, that is always the tough part.. funding. If you have a small environment the price is not that high, they price it out by objects (vip's and wip's). Always worth reaching out to them to find out if you can get your foot in the door :)

Just want to bump this back to the top.
Has anyone used AppViewX in a large enterprise, that also has used EM or BIG-IQ?
Any feedback is appreciated!

We had enterprise manager, it is no longer getting updates/etc as it's being replaced by Big-IQ (eventually). EM is basically a glorified archiving appliance with cert notifications.
Big-IQ is still relatively young in development from the latest release I tested, but down the road could be very good. I'm always interested in other solutions, but AppViewX has still been the top (large enterprise) application to manage our F5's. We have at this time 50 devices sitting behind appvx & growing.
They have constant release updates and will create custom ideas you or your users may have. Being able to give access to app owners for their applications only is easily the top thing about the product beside all the other features (scheduled jobs via tmsh or config editor, etc) and device/cert management. It's overall a good product.
You can always request from F5 to try out the latest big-iq VM image to see how far along it is at this time as well :)

We have deployed it in our Environment ~500 devices and integrated with our AD for granular access with 100s of admins with granular access and it has been working well so far. We use it for operations, statistics and creating new configs as well. Planning to deploy cert+ as well.

With some minor tweaks Cert+ is a very useful feature in AppViewX. The vendors 'Payoda' are open for customizations and look to help customers achieve their objective.
